Activitis Education Hosted an Intellectual Discussion on "Financial Technologies for Ukraine's Agricultural Sector"

On May 15, 2025, an intellectual event took place at IQ Business Center, dedicated to one of the key development directions of the modern economy—the integration of financial technologies into Ukraine's agricultural sector. The event was organized by fintech company Activitis as part of the Activitis Education initiative.

The event brought together leading experts from the agricultural and financial sectors, representatives of startups, businesses, and the analytical community for an in-depth discussion of current challenges and opportunities opened up by the digitalization of the agricultural sphere.

The discussion focused on the following topics:

• digital financial instruments for agricultural companies;

• new forms of financial support for agricultural businesses;

• prospects for fintech development in the agricultural industry;

• specific solutions and opportunities for businesses today.

Among the event speakers were leading industry leaders:

• Viktor Halasiuk — economist, President of the Ukrainian Association of the Club of Rome, member of the KMEF Supervisory Board, adjunct professor at kmbs, Doctor of Economics;

• Yaroslav Smakota — CEO and founder of agricultural startup AgroApp, shareholder of fintech company Activitis;

This ecosystem will be created to make services for the agricultural sector as simple, fast, and accessible as possible in just a few clicks—without queues, paperwork, or complex bureaucracy. The goal of WEAGRO is to scale trust and capital for the benefit of Ukrainian farmers.

Participants reached a common conclusion: Ukraine's agricultural sector has great potential for digital transformation, and financial technologies can ensure transparency, efficiency, and accessibility of financing for agricultural businesses of any scale.
