Education must be accessible to everyone. Activitis Education at the Fifth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen

On September 10–11, 2025, Kyiv hosted the Fifth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen—an international humanitarian event that brought together representatives from more than 20 countries worldwide: first ladies and gentlemen, ministers of education, Nobel Prize laureates, teachers, and researchers.

This year, the Summit was held in a two-day format for the first time and became the largest in terms of participants in its history. Its main theme was “Education Shaping the World.”

The focus was on four key areas:

• access to education as a fundamental right, regardless of circumstances;

• technology and innovation, and their ethical use;

• the role of education in building peace and humanistic values;

• teaching as both a profession and a vocation that shapes generations.

Events and participants

The Summit program included ministerial dialogues, panel discussions, and open lectures at leading Ukrainian universities and cultural institutions.

In his address, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized:

“Through education, we can defend humanity, prevent wars, and strengthen peace. Humanity must prevail.”

A key event of the Summit was the presentation of an international study: “Education as a tool for building personal resilience, a country’s social capital, and a culture of peace.”

The study covered 14 countries—from the United Kingdom to Japan—and included surveys of teachers, students, and parents. In total, more than 4,000 participants took part.

Its findings showed that society expects education, above all, to prepare young people for a successful life, develop employability skills, and provide access to modern technologies.

Activitis Education: Official Partner of the Summit

As part of its participation in the Summit, Activitis Education also presented its social video, showcasing three unique stories united by a shared desire for free access to knowledge, development, and opportunities. The video demonstrates that education must be accessible to everyone—whether a student, a deaf young person, or a business representative.

Activitis Education by fintech company Activitis is a space that, through its educational program, pays special attention to the needs of deaf people, provides practical knowledge to entrepreneurs, and also helps students secure their first job.

The company’s shareholders emphasized the importance of participating in the event:

“Children and young people are our future. What it will be depends on the level of education. That is why Activitis Education joined and became the official partner of the Fifth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen,” commented Kostiantyn Zhukovskyi, a shareholder of fintech company Activitis.

Maksym Kushnarov, a shareholder of fintech company Activitis, emphasized: “Knowledge is the foundation that enables a person to build themselves and realize their dreams. That is why participation in the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen is of particular importance to us.”

Ukraine as a hub of global education dialogue

The Summit in Kyiv became a platform to discuss what learning should look like in the 21st century and reaffirmed Ukraine’s role as a country that, even during wartime, initiates global discussions about education, humanity, and the future.

Activitis Education became part of this process, bringing together business, young people, and the expert community around the idea that education is the key to resilience, peace, and development.
